mate-dialogs software package provides Display graphical dialog boxes from shell scripts, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mate-dialogs
mate-dialogs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mate-dialogs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mate-dialogs *
You will get with mate-dialogs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
